29 April:  Open Day at Norbury Bowls Club from 2pm:    The invitation is to everyone, all ages, to come and try your hand at bowls.  Norbury Bowls Club is in Turle Road, just off Abingdon Road.

29 April:  Beetle Drive & Roast Dinner at St Philip’s Church, Beech Road – 6.30pm  start:  A change from their quiz and curry evenings, St Philip’s promise a fun evening for all the family – children especially welcome.  See events page for booking.

Norbury Literary Festival 13 -18 May:  A variety of events for all ages and book sales. See the flier on the events page.  Of special interest to NVRA members will be the talk by John Brown about David Clark.  David was a long term member of NVRA and was well known for his pamphlets, walks and talks on Norbury’s history.  He also kept Norbury bright by looking after the shrubs around Harlow Hall and his plantings around Norbury Station.  This talk takes place  at 12.30pm on Saturday 13 May at Norbury Library. Councillors’ Surgery – Change of Date:    Cllrs Matt Griffiths and Leila Ben Hassel’s May Advice Surgery will be 11am-12.30pm on Saturday 13 May at Norbury Methodist Church, 2a Pollards Hill North.  No appointments needed.  Please note it’s a week later than usual because of the Coronation.
